 After reading this, please take it to heart and contact your Congressmen about it. If more Christians voiced their opinions like the non-Christians do in this country, things would turn around real quick, since according to statistics we outnumber the non-Christian group. I appeal to you all to stand up and be heard. I just sent messages to my Congressmen and you should do the same. Don't let them get away with getting their way; make them do it the Christian way. |

As you walk up the steps to the building which houses the U.S Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view .. it is Moses and he is holding the Ten Commandments!

How, then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional?
It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, it is very hard to understand why there is such a mess about having the Ten Commandments on display or 'In God We Trust' on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why don't we just tell the other 14% to Sit Down and SHUT UP!!!

Dear Brother, I guess the reason we should not tell any citizens in this country to Shut Up has to do with democratic ideals rooted in the constitution. I do think there is a certain amount of irony involved in stating "in God we trust" on our money when it seems to be the money itself in which we trust (else we would pray more and pay less). Jesus thought we should make clear distinctions between what we owe to God and what we owe to Caesar. I think that attempts to bring the Christian Religion (I am a Baptist) into government have to be done sparingly and carefully to prevent slipping into the Church of England model that our ancestors fled from.

Yes, I agree that America has come to trust more in the "almighty dollar" as I've heard it called, but I would rather look at a nickel that says In God we Trust just as a reminder. Remember, money is spent all over the world. If our money does not reflect our foundation, then what are people to believe? It's God's money anyway! Yes, he says all the gold and silver are His and we ought to remember that. The government was first founded by Christians and religious beliefs of freedom to worship. In today's world people are pushing God to the corner. Did you know that in California, in a Christian nation, children are being taught Islam and are REQUIRED to present a Jahad. The schools deceive them by teaching it as a game rather than the hate and destruction it represents. They are even encouraged to dress like muslims and chant and memorize verses from the Kuran (sorry if I spelled that wrong) and learn the 7 pillars of Islam? And yet Christians in the schools can't mention the name of Jesus or pray in public without reprimand or imprisonment? Christians are letting this happen! The very thing our country was built on is becoming the "weakest link" and if Christians don't start taking action, I grieve over what it is going to do to our nation.
