THE TRUTH ABOUT HALLOWEEN

Halloween--the Truth
Eph 4: 27 " and give no place to the devil."
Giving place to something means space or occupancy, opportunity, or room; it's giving something your attention.
There is a Jokes-R-Wild store up the road from where I live and every year about the beginning of October the business picks up. The parking lot gets so full people park all along the road just to get their halloween things. If only they realized what they were doing, maybe some of them would stop.

If your priest asks for people to pray for who are dead tell him to stop. He is practicing a pagan ritual. Please read on and you'll see why you shouldn't pray for dead souls. If you don't believe this, please go and read Luke 16: 19-31. And note that Jesus didn't say it was a parable. It was a real experience He spoke of.

Halloween is a celebration of satan. Millions of children will unknowingly "give place to the devil" on Oct 31st. Thousands of churches will sponsor parties replete with cutouts of witches and other symbols of the occult.

Halloween symbols appeared in the United States during the late 1800's. Among these were figures of witches, black cats, a death's head cut from a pumpkin, candles, bobbing apples, masks, parties, and pranks.

The celebration of Halloween has been traced to the Roman Festival of Druids--Roman pagans praying for the dead. History tells us that a Druid god, Samhain, lord of the dead, was honored at Halloween in Britain, France, Germany, and the Celtic countries. Samhain called together all wicked souls who died within the past year that were destined to inhabit animals. The Druids believed that on this particular night the souls of the dead returned to their former homes to be entertained by the living. Bonfires were built on hilltops to light the way for the dead. Suitable food and shelter had to be provided for these spirits or they would cast spells, steal infants, destroy crops, kill farm animals and create terror as they haunted the living. These spirits demanded to be worshiped.

The festival included the use of nuts, apples, skeletons, witches, and black cats. Divination auguries, a ND magic were practiced, seeking knowledge of future events. Black cats were regarded as reincarnated beings able to divine the future. Supernatural beings terrified the people. Practitioners of witchcraft still declare October 31 is the best day to practice their black arts.

The Christian Church tried to eliminate the Druid celebration by changing the name of Halloween to All Saint's Day. The church also attempted, unsuccessfully, to replace the pagan cult worship of Apollo, Diana, and Ymir. The outward forms of such worship disappeared, but the belief in the deities did not. These deistic cults held periodic meetings know as witches Sabbaths, the most important one being October 31.

Pranks and mischief represented the mischievous behavior attributes of witches and fairies. The "trick or treat" came from ancient Druid practice.

One of the basic tenets of witchcraft is the the practicing in which to gain control, by force if necessary, over the behavior of others. When one threatens another, even in jest, they will bear a consequence if a treat isn't given, it is complying with an occult practice that is opposed to Scripture. We are to have no part in the deeds of darkness. Deuteronomy 18: 10-12 forbids us to participate in anything of the occult; it is an abomination to God. "There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer or on who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord: and because of these detestable things the Lord your God will drive them out from before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord your God."

Christians, I ask you--are you allowing your children to go out "trick or treating?" Now that you know the truth about this, will you still allow them to go get candy? "O, it's just innocent fun, a chance for the kids to dress up, look cute and get candy" you may say. No, it isn't innocent. It's puts a curse on you and your children and you wonder why kids are the way they are today! Look at what they are being taught--or not being taught. If your kid insists on candy, then buy them a candy bar, but leave the devil out of it. What kind of example are you going to be to your children? And what kind of example will they follow and teach their children?

How can practicing the things of Halloween NOT be giving place or room or attention to the devil?

Halloween is to satan what Christmas is to Christ.
Who will you glorify?

Can you find more information about this Roman festival of Druids? I'm curious about this because it was my understanding Druids were a priestly class of Celts defeated by the Romans and (later) Christians. Also, how about some more information on Samhain? It's also my understanding that Samhain isn't a god, but rather a month (Feile na Marbh) marking harvest season and celebration of the dead. The Roman celebration of Lemuria coincided with Samhain -- but there are common things like that between religions. If you're this confused, conflicted, and troubled by Halloween's roots, I hope you won't ponder the history of Christmas. You might change your mind about how you ended this post. ;-)

It seems to me you only came here to try to start an argument. I won't argue with you. Go on and be nasty, hostile, name-calling or whatever. Your persecution is my reward. Thank you for making my crown shine a little brighter.. [LOL]

Nasty? Hostile? Name-calling? I only asked questions because you were inaccurate in several points. You have a martyr complex and I didn't even do anything to give you one. That crown of yours is more tarnished than you imagine.

Apparently you think you know it all so just leave it at that. You weren't really interested in this blog, you only came to stir things up. Just go somewhere else with your game.[THUMBUP]

You're the one who posted deceit. Can't be bothered to check facts, Mr. Know-it-all?

I don't claim to know it all; if I did, I would be God, and I'm not claiming that either.  I only go by what I've been taught, so if I was taught incorrectly, it will be on the teacher's head, not mine.  As for you, if you think you know so much, I suggest you stay off my site if you think you know it all.  I guess we will know in the end who is right and who is wrong, so it doesn't really matter to me what you say or call me.  It doesn't upset me that we have different opinions, rather, it's your hostile attitude.  We both think we know the truth; like I said, we'll know when we stand before our Creator God.  I do pray you'll be ready for that.
