LOOK WHAT'S GOING ON UNDER OUR NOSES
'Ground zero' in Minneapolis?

The nation's largest homosexual advocacy group is targeting kindergarten and elementary school students in Minneapolis with a program it claims is designed to reduce bullying. But a Christian law firm says the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) "Welcoming Schools" initiative is really about homosexual indoctrination.

According to HRC, the initiative is designed to create elementary schools that are "LBGT-inclusive" (lesbian, bisexual, gay, transsexual). It focuses on three areas: "family diversity," "gender stereotyping," and "name-calling." But attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) have written Minneapolis school officials to warn them about the true intent of HRC's purported anti-bullying program.

ADF attorney Austin Nimocks says if anti-bullying were the true goal, the organization would simply endorse the existing, very strict anti-harassment policy already in force in Minneapolis schools.

"The Human Rights Campaign can say what they want, but the program speaks for itself -- and it's designed to get kids to believe that their sex is not a biological fact, but an inconvenience that's changeable based on how they feel," Nimocks explains.

The attorney says the reason homosexual activists chose the Minneapolis public schools should be obvious. "You have the largest homosexual advocacy group in the country now attacking one of the largest public school districts in the country in order to affect the most children that they can with one blow," Nimocks contends, adding that "the objective here is to indoctrinate them into the homosexual lifestyle."

Parents in other cities or states may be tempted to ignore that warning under the false impression that their children are safe from pro-homosexual propaganda. However, Nimocks believes that would be a mistake.

"The goal of this program is to get it into every school district in this country. They are starting with pilot programs this year. And then next year they plan to expand to more school districts in different areas of the country," Nimocks concludes. In fact, the HRC website states the project will more toward "broader distribution" after the Summer 2008 pilot phase.

Unless parents get involved and demand that their children be protected from homosexual indoctrination, Nimocks warns, the "Welcoming Schools" program could soon show up in every school district in the country.

Will the United States become like Sodom and Gomorrah?

family diversity," "gender stereotyping," and "name-calling

That seems to be an awfully vague description.   I haven't read up on this and don't know the facts.  If, however, the program consists of only those topics, I applaud this group.

Family diversity is a fact of life.  A dad, a stay-at-home mom, 2 kids and a dog does not always make for a stable environment.   Single parents often choose that route out of necessity for their children.  Single-parenting is HARD and requires effort.   Staying married "for the kids" is the easy way out - no effort is required.  Status quo does not a happy child make.

Gender stereotyping is also a fact of life.   Telling a child they can't achieve a dream or goal because of their gender is akin to telling them they have flawed dreams and goals.   The ability to be a CEO, a stay-at-home parent, a teacher, the President is not linked to anatomy.

Name calling is viscious - no matter how you look at it or whose doing it.  Name calling is nothing but a bullying tactic.   Bullies in school can ruin the lives of innocent, sensitive boys and girls.   Though there may be a policy in place, chances are the parents of these bullies are bullies themselves and won't allow the schools to take the necessary actions to protect these picked-on children.

I can't argue for or against homosexuality.   I haven't lived in the body of someone who experienced the turmoil that I'm sure homosexuality brings.

My God is the ultimate judge of what is wrong or right.   Standing in a pulpit, holding a Bible, going to church, being a do-gooder - none of those gives the right of judgement to any human.

    Matthew 7:1-2
1Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

I have to say that under normal circumstances I would nto agree with you but I did go through the pdf files of the material distributed and the focus is not on every one but on just the gay community and do not think that should be included in school.  I treads more like an agenda.

Uncertain times at the least.  I am thankful that our son is out of school now.  Well, he is in college but a little different.

We are heading towards the return of Jesus.  He said that this kind of stuff would happen and just get worse, that men's heart would fail them for fear.  Anyone who does not have their name written in the Lamb's Book of Life had better take heed and humble themselves to ask God for forgiveness of their sins.  God is loving, but He is also Just.
