ANOTHER PROBLEM

Well, I went and told the preacher what I thought.  It wasn't too good of a response, but at least it was a little better than the last time.

One thing I brought up was the sign language lady who stands up during the worship and signs all the songs.  That's good except there are no deaf people in our church that I know of and besides, she doesn't do the sermon for that reason.  I told him she was a terrible distraction. and if there weren't any deaf people, what was the point of having her there.  Well, it turns out that this lady is friends with a daughter of one of the elders.  Are you getting the picture?

Then he blasted me about my tambourine distracting him.  How can that be I wonder?  I sit on the opposite side of the church.  How can he possibly hear that little thing so far away and over all the drumming, horns, guitars and singers?

When I said something to my girlfriend, she told me this pastor asked her husband to stop his schooling to start a cell group.  At the time, the church was starting up cell groups and I guess he wanted as many as  possible to start to make the numbers look good?

I don't expect him to be perfect, b/c no one is  perfect, but it's getting so I don't want to go to church anymore b/c of him.  My girlfriend and her husband don't go anymore b/c of him and I can't say I blame them.  He really turns people away and doesn't realize it.  If he only knew, but then I wonder if it would do any good.
